Would you like to play a special part in protecting this ancient building?

Worcester Cathedral is a building of many treasures dating back to 1084. Like those who have gone before us, we are committed to the upkeep of this ancient building for future generations to enjoy, as we do today.

To help with the ongoing conservation and maintenance costs, the cathedral is offering you the opportunity to adopt one of its historical objects.

A range of beautiful items have been selected for adoption and they are arranged in five themes:

1. The Angels of Worcester – meet some of the angels of the cathedral, some medieval, some modern.
2. Creatures of the Cathedral – ‘fantastic beasts and where to find them’ – come and meet some of our unusual creatures mythical and fantastical.
3. Medieval Sights – some of the visions from the medieval mind in the cathedral.
4. Royal Connections – sponsor a piece of local and royal history.
5. Church and Saints- stained glass images from the story of Christianity from the beautiful cloister walk.

There are two Adoption Packages available:

For £50 your adoption will run for two years and you will receive a printed Certificate of Adoption, with your personal dedication written on it, and a high-resolution photo of your chosen item in a presentation folder in the post.

For £25 your adoption will run for one year and you will receive an electronic Certificate of Adoption and a high-resolution photo of your chosen item via email.
